New Hope Grief Support Community will be holding its 6th Annual Golf Tournament Fore Hope on Monday, October 3, 2016 at Recreation Park Golf Course 18 in Long Beach. The tournament will begin with a shotgun start at 1pm followed by a happy hour, awards dinner, raffle and auction. Thanks to the proceeds from fundraising events like the annual Golf Tournament, family camps, workshops and support groups that provide support, care and compassion for children, teens and adults who have lost a loved one continue to be provided.
Each year, the Golf Tournament Fore Hope gives local professionals a fun filled, energetic opportunity to play golf, while knowing that their contributions help ensure that no grieving family goes without the proper grief support. The entry fee of $150 per golfer for the 4 Man Scramble Tournament includes 18 holes of golf, range balls, a putting contest, closest to the pin, longest drive, food and refreshments throughout the course from local businesses, including Gladstone’s, Red Leprechaun, Joe Jost’s and The Market Place Grill and Cafe. The tournament concludes with a raffle, compelling silent auction and awards dinner to further support the fundraising efforts of New Hope. The evening would not be complete without a heartwarming video from the annual New Hope Family Camp, which would not be possible without the funds raised through the Golf Tournament Fore Hope.
